Behind the Secret Door…

Posted on June 4th, 2010 by Jeff Gardner

I’m a big believer in going after your dreams – regardless of what other people think. As one of my favorite authors Dr. Seuss said: “Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.”

One of my dreams growing up was to have a home with a secret door. Oddly enough, over the years, I found ZERO homes with secret doors or passageways. So, when I purchased my current home, I decided to install my own – and finally check this dream off of my “to do” list.

In this video, I invite you behind my secret door – to tell you a story and reveal a life-changing wealth-building secret.

WARNING: This is a B-I-G secret. It’s a truth… a fact… that has helped me generate millions of dollars in sales… buy multiple homes (including a 6,000 square foot mansion), luxury cars with cash, and travel extensively. I’m not saying this to impress you, but to impress upon you just how powerful the secret is that I’m about to share with you.

So click “play” on the video below – and let’s go behind my secret door…

Hey Jeff, I know you offer a private label autoresponder service, but which do you recommend for referrals Aweber or Infusionsoft?

    • Jeff Gardner says:

I run both – PLUS iContact (for a variety of reasons).

There are pro’s and con’s to all of them.

However, having said that, I recommend Aweber – which is why I private labeled Aweber for WealthWorldTouch. I think it’s perfect for most marketers.

The only problem with Aweber is they have no API – which we’ve needed for other projects. So, for some projects, I use our private-labeled version of Aweber (http://www.wealthworldtouch.com), but where I need the API, I use iContact.

As for Infusion, I use them for my shopping cart system, so I do use their autoresponder – but I don’t think the deliverability is as high as other options.

      Hope that helps.

      Best
      Jeff

  5. Hey Jeff,

That was me! I saw you at the back of the room talking to MaryEllen Tribby. I wanted to pull you to the side and chat briefly too, but it seemed like you were rushing out to catch a flight.

Let’s connect some time, if you’re on Facebook you can look me up there.

  6. Jeff,

You are absolutely right about the importance of a mailing list.

John Lennon was attributed as saying he would “write a swimming pool” referencing his ability to turn lyrics into money. Kinda like email / list marketing :-)

LOL! It’s funny you bring that story up: I’ve got a friend who rents his direct mail list via Macromark – and he used just 1 month’s list rental income to put in a pool at his home. Just proves that lists are so powerful, you can make money just by renting your list to others who don’t have one (or who want to build their bigger).

BTW, Brian. I think I spotted you at Yanik’s UnderGround Seminar. Talking to Daegan Smith? I was on the way out. Anyway, I wanted to say “Hey”. Maybe we can team up on something (product, project, etc.) in the future. Let me know.

      Thanks, Brian!

      Best,
      Jeff

  10. Jeff, very good story and a customer list is the best list you can have, those who like what you offer and stick with you over the years… buying over and over again.

  11. DeJuan Collins says:

What list service would you use?

    • Jeff Gardner says:

      Hey DeJuan,

That’s a very important question. Because most services require you do double opt-in (meaning that the subscriber has to verify that they wanted onto your list), it’s virtually impossible to move a list once its in an autoresponder. (There are some services that’ll do this, but it’s definitely a pain.)

Therefore, picking the right autoresponder from Day 1 is incredibly important.

Having said that, I’ve researched and tested a variety of autoresponder services myself over the last 10 years – and found one that’s the best in terms of both ease-of-use AND (more importantly) deliverability. The autoresponder I found has some of the highest deliverability rates in the industry – primarily because they have an entire department that works with ISP’s to make sure emails coming from their service are not flagged as Spam.

Let me be completely transparent here: I liked this autoresponder service so much – I paid $5,000 for my own private-label version of it. Everything is the same as the original service (they even do my customer service) – it’s just “branded” under one of my corporate names.

The autoresponder I recommend is http://www.wealthworldtouch.com

Visit the site, check out the features, and make sure to read the testimonials on the page. You’ll see that a lot of big name Internet marketers use WealthWorldTouch to manage their massive mailing lists.

      http://wealthworldtouch.com/testimonials.htm

Of course, you’ll also want to do your due diligence – and compare this service against other autoresponders. But I think you’ll find that this service really does deliver more than the rest – at a cost that’s as low as $14.95 per month.

      I hope that helps, DeJuan.

      Thanks for the question.

      Best,
      Jeff

P.S. By the way, this is a great way to create additional income streams.

If you find a service you use – that you know others would like/use as well – check to see if they have an affiliate program, private label offer, partnership deal, etc.

After all, if you’re sending business to another company (through your recommendation), there’s nothing wrong with asking that company to pay you for your referrals.

It’s a win/win/win. The company gets more business, your clients get a great service, and you have a hands-free income.

        Just a quick aside. :)

        Best,
        Jeff

Loved the video & creative story line.

Next product: “Unstoppable Mailing List Builder System”

    Blessings,
    Tony

    • Jeff Gardner says:

      Thanks Tony.

Here’s another secret: On Monday, I’m going to give away a step-by-step system I used to get paid to build a list. And I did it without a product of my own. I’ll show you the system… the exact numbers behind my own “case study”, plus more.

      Love the product idea.

      Have a great one!

      Best,
      Jeff
